Pilar del Toro is housed within a former 17th-century manor house, located at the foot of the Alhambra and beside the historic fountain, or “pilar”, from which the building takes its name. Steeped in history, the property reflects centuries of transformation dating back to the 11th century, when the Alhachimín Bridge connected the city with the Alhambra.
At Ruta del Azafrán, we believe every meal is an experience to be shared. Our passion for gastronomy inspires us to select the finest ingredients and preserve the essence of Mediterranean cuisine, while embracing an innovative approach. Our dishes surprise with unexpected combinations, and our kitchen plays with tradition to break the rules. When it was still a small inn, the Pedraza Brothers already made a name for themselves for their exquisite Granadian cuisine and their magnificent service.
In 1981, our family started the adventure of opening what our family called "Cafetería-Bar SANCHO" and which today we call Sancho Original. For us, the origin of everything. For more than 4 decades (45 years now), our gastronomic concept has been constantly evolving, improving every day and loving what we know how to do at all times: cooking, cooking and cooking.

Located in the Albayzín, a few minutes from the Mirador de San Nicolás, Jardines de Zoraya is an old carmen renovated to accomodate our restaurant and tablao, in which flamenco and gastronomy merge to provide an unforgettable experience for your palate and all senses.
